Taking Sides...

Does anyone else think it's a little problematic that in almost any Bible story we Christians read, we almost always identify with the 'good guys'. I'm not saying this isn't my first reaction also, but it's just a little arrogant don't you think? 

I unfortunately feel like these days many churches are too much like the Pharisees whether we'd admit it or not. And the way I read it, they were not the good guys, even though they were the established 'religious' 'church' people of the day. 

I just think sometimes we should be careful to put ourselves on every side of each story we read. We'll learn more, and perhaps react differently.
