Today I broke down and contacted the Executive Director of our local agency. He was very receptive to speaking with me. It still probably won't result in much significant movement, but perhaps he can help us rebuild at least some trust and hopefully encourage some accountability from the other agency. That would make the process more tolerable for me at least.

If you didn't know, there's some crazy stuff going on in Guatemala right now. All the children were removed by the government from a home recently, and no one is really sure where they are.

Another family's child is not being released from the hospital, even to the birthmom apparently.

Things are just up in the air.
